The Resurrection Message of Jesus Christ
By P. G. Mathew, M.A., M.Div., Th.M.
The resurrection of Jesus Christ is the very heart of Christianity. In 1 Corinthians 15 St. Paul reasoned, "If Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith. . . .We are then found to be false witnesses about God, for we have testified about God that he raised Christ from the dead." In that same chapter he says "If Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins."
Easter is Pure Power
P. Andrew Sandlin / Center for Cultural Leadership
We’re up against the commemoration of the most momentous event in the Church calendar: Easter. Not Advent, not Good Friday, but Easter. Only over the last 100 years have theologians finally begun to recognize that our Lord’s resurrection is the heart of the gospel and, indeed, the central doctrine of the Faith.
The Resurrection Of Jesus Christ
By Louis Bartet / Point Assembly of God
"It wasn't the morality of the Sermon on the Mount which enabled Christianity to conquer Roman Paganism, but the belief that Jesus had been raised from the dead. In an age when Roman senators vied to see who could get the most blood of a steer on their togas--thinking that would prevent death--Christianity was in competition for eternal life, not morality."
Historical Evidence for the
Resurrection of Jesus Christ
By William Lane Craig / Leadership U.
After an appraisal of recent scholarship on the historicity of the resurrection of Jesus Christ, Professor William Craig contends that "the resurrection appearances, the empty tomb, and the origin of the Christian faith - all point unavoidably to one conclusion: the resurrection of Jesus".
The Resurrection Of Christ
By B.B. Warfield
The resurrection of Christ is fundamental to the Christian's assurance that Christ's work is complete and redemption is accomplished. Our stripes were laid upon Him and He bowed His head and died. And is that all? Is it enough to say that He "was delivered up for our trespasses"? Or, must we not be able to add that "He was raised for our justification"?

The Bible says there is only one way to Heaven. Jesus said: "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father but by me." (John 14:6) Good works cannot save you. "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." (Ephesians 2:8-9)

Facts About Easter Celebrations
Entourages.Com
Easter is the festival celebrating the resurrection of Christ, observed in the Christian churches today. By the first Christian, it was considered to continue the feast of the Passover, at which the paschal lamb, a symbol of Christ, was sacrificed. Hence, its name in Greek, French, and other Roman languages is taken from Hebrew "Pesach" = Passover. The English name comes from the Anglo-Saxon "Eastre" - a goddess of light or spring, whose festival was celebrated in April.
