Need A Place To Call Home?
Peroutka: Unanimous Support for Specter Demonstrates, With a Vengeance, That Pro-Lifers Have No Home in Republican Party
To: National Desk
PASADENA, Md., Nov. 19 /Covenant News Wire Service/ -- The following statement has been issued by 2004 Constitution Party Presidential candidate Michael Anthony Peroutka. He is available to be interviewed on this topic.:
Sen. Arlen Specter's unanimous support from his Republican colleagues to be chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee demonstrates, with a vengeance, that serious, truly pro-life people have no home in the Republican Party.
Sen. Specter should have been rejected for this important post not because he might block certain judicial nominees. He should have been rejected because he thinks it should be legal to kill innocent, unborn human beings by abortion. He should have been rejected because he has voted for so-called partial-birth abortion which, in reality, is infanticide.
Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) has been quoted as saying that Arlen Specter is "an excellent lawyer." But, Specter most assuredly is not an excellent lawyer. No excellent lawyer would ever be for the legalization of abortion which is the taking of a human life without due process of law.
I invite all those who are truly pro-life to come to a
truly pro-life party, the Constitution Party.
For God, Family, & the Republic,
Michael Anthony Peroutka
